3.3.4. The top dead point (ВМТ) the piston of the first cylinder
THE GENERAL DATA

The top dead point of the piston is a point through which takes place each piston at проворачивании a cranked shaft. Each piston reaches positions ВМТ in the end of a compression step, and then again in the end of an exhaust step. For the purpose of mechanism installation гозораспределения the engine it is used ВМТ the piston of the first cylinder in a compression step. Cylinder N1 is from outside a gear belt. The cranked shaft of the engine rotates clockwise if to look on the right side of the car.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a negative wire from the accumulator. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove the right forward wheel.
2. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
3. Turn the engine a wrench for a pulley of a cranked shaft clockwise. Rotate a cranked shaft until the label on a pulley of a cranked shaft will not be combined with the index on the basis of the oil pump.
4. To define that the first or fourth piston is in the top dead point, check up position of adjusting apertures in pulleys of the fuel pump and a camshaft. When the piston of the first cylinder is in the top dead point in a compression step, both apertures of a pulley will be combined with apertures under the screw in a head of the block of cylinders.
5. At installation of the piston of the first cylinder in ВМТ if it is necessary, it is possible to fix pulleys of the fuel pump or a camshaft for what screw in bolt М6 (a photo at the left) through a camshaft pulley in a head of the block of cylinders and bolt М8 (a photo on the right) through a pulley of the fuel pump in the block of cylinders.
