3.5.22. Start of the engine after major repairs
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On the engine established in a motor compartment of the car, check up levels of engine oil and cooling liquid. Check up that all earlier removed wires and hoses are established on the places.
2. On cars with petrol engines disconnect an electric socket from the block of ignition and remove the relay of the fuel pump. Turn the engine a starter until the control lamp of pressure of oil will not go out, then connect an electric socket to the block of ignition and establish the relay of the fuel pump.
3. On cars with diesel engines include ignition and immediately turn a cranked shaft of the engine a starter (that candles накаливания had not time to get warm) while the control lamp of pressure of oil will not go out.
4. Start the engine. Engine start can be more long, than usually because of switching-off of fuel system.
5. At engine work idling check up presence of leaks of the fuel, cooling liquid and oil. At this stage of work of the engine the smell and a smoke from нагретых engine parts can be observed at burning out of the oil which have got on the engine at assemblage.
6. The engine should idle until the cooling liquid will not heat up that will be felt through the top hose of a radiator. Then switch off the engine.
7. After engine cooling check up level of oil and cooling liquid.
8. At installation in the engine of new pistons, piston rings or bearings of a cranked shaft it is necessary to make the engine during run of the first 800 km. Do not maintain the engine with completely open throttle заслонкой or under the big loading at low frequency of rotation of the engine. It is recommended to replace oil and the oil filter in the end of the period обкатки.
