3.4.14. The oil pump

THE GENERAL DATA

The oil pump is located in a chain cover, therefore removal of the oil pump is made simultaneously with a chain cover.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Unscrew screws and uncover the pump an internal part of a cover of a chain.

2. Using a marker, note a relative positioning of an internal and external rotor of the oil pump.

3. Remove internal (at the left) and external (on the right) rotors of the oil pump.

4. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a safety valve of pressure from the basis of a cover of a chain.

5. Take a spring and the plug of a safety valve of pressure.

6. Take плунжер a pressure safety valve, remove a sealing ring from a bolt.

7. Unscrew a bolt of the valve of safety from a back part of a cover of a chain.

8. Remove a spring and a pusher of the valve of safety.

9. Clear all details of the oil pump and investigate rotors and pushers of valves on deterioration or development presence. If necessary replace the worn out details.

10. Collect the oil pump in sequence, return dismantling, taking into account following moments:

– Check up that rotors are established according to earlier put labels;
– Establish new sealing rings to bolts of fastening of a safety valve and the safety valve;

– Tighten screws of fastening of a cover of the oil pump the demanded moment;

– Fill the pump with engine oil, turning thus an internal rotor of the oil pump.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Establish a chain cover on the engine.
