3.1.13. A head of the block of cylinders Removal
The prevention

Removal of a head of the block of cylinders make on the cold engine. For fastening of a head of the block of cylinders it is necessary to use new bolts.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Depressurize fuel system and remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Merge cooling liquid from system of cooling and unscrew spark plugs.
3. Remove a gear belt.
4. Remove inlet and final collectors. If dismantling of a head of the block of cylinders is not required, it can be removed together with collectors. But for this purpose it is necessary to execute following actions:

  – Disconnect electric sockets from the throttle and collector case and release a plait of wires from an inlet collector;
  – Disconnect hoses of giving of fuel from the case of a throttle and hoses of giving of a cooling liquid to an inlet collector;
  – Unscrew a bolt from a suspension bracket of support of an inlet collector and the top bolt of fastening of the generator;
  – Disconnect an accelerator cable;
  – Unscrew a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector and disconnect the oxygen gauge.

5. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders.
6. Remove a camshaft pulley.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a back casing of a gear belt to the camshaft case.
8. Disconnect electric sockets from DIS the block and the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid.
9. Loosen the a collar also disconnect a hose of a cooling liquid from the thermostat case.
10. Check up that all hoses, pipes and wires are disconnected from a head of the block of cylinders.
11. In sequence, return to a tightening, gradually unscrew bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders.
12. Remove the case of a camshaft from a head of the block of cylinders.
13. Remove a head of the block of cylinders from the block of cylinders. Thus do not displace pushers and Pads axial pressure.

14. Remove a lining of a head of the block of cylinders.

Preparation for installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders should be absolutely pure. For their clearing use a firm plastic or wooden scraper. At clearing be careful, as the aluminium alloy is very easy for damaging. Check up that the deposit has not got to oil and water channels. It is especially important for greasing system as the deposit can block oil giving to engine components. If necessary clear channels.
2. Check up interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders on presence of notches, deep scratches and other damages. If defects small, they can be removed machining. But at detail major defects are subject to replacement.
3. Using a metal ruler and probe, check up planeness of interfaced surfaces.
4. Clear apertures under bolts in the block. Bolt screwing up in the aperture filled with oil can break off the block because of hydraulic pressure.
5. Replace bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders irrespective of their condition.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check up that the piston of the first cylinder is in the top dead point.
2. Check up that two directing cores are established in the block of cylinders.
3. Establish a new lining of a head of the block of cylinders. Arrows note position of directing pins.
4. At installation track, that marks TOR/OBEN have been directed upwards.
5. Establish a head of the block of cylinders on directing pins.
6. Check up that interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the camshaft case, pure and dry. Check up that the adjusting label on a camshaft pulley is above.
7. Apply a thin film hermetic on a surface of a head of the block of the cylinders, interfaced to the camshaft case.
8. Grease the top part of levers with pure engine oil.
9. Establish the camshaft case on a head of the block of cylinders.
10. Establish bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders and tighten them by hand.
11. Gradually and consistently tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders according to the requirements shown in subsection 3.1.2.
12. Screw in bolts of fastening of a back casing of a gear belt to the camshaft case.
13. Establish a pulley of a camshaft and a gear belt.
14. Connect electric sockets to components of a head of the block of cylinders.
15. Connect a hose of a cooling liquid to a casing of the thermostat and fix a collar.
16. Connect collectors.
17. Establish a wheel and lower the car.
18. Check up that all pipes and hoses are reliably connected and fill in cooling liquid in system of cooling and establish spark plugs.
19. Connect the accumulator, start the engine and check up it on presence of leaks.
