8.18. The vacuum amplifier of brakes Check

Press a brake pedal some times at not working engine to create in cavities of the vacuum amplifier the identical pressure close to the atmospheric. Simultaneously on the effort put to a pedal, define, whether there is no jamming of the case of the valve. Stop a pedal of a brake in the middle of its course and start the engine. At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the pedal of a brake after engine start should leave forward. If the pedal does not leave forward, check up fastening of a tip of a hose, a condition of fastening of a flange of a tip in the amplifier, a hose and union condition. On cars with diesel engines check up working capacity of the vacuum pump.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the bottom furnish of the panel of devices.
2. Working under the panel from outside the driver, disconnect a pusher of a pedal from the piston of the vacuum amplifier.
3. Remove rubber consolidation from the top part of a partition of a motor compartment.
4. Remove the main brake cylinder.
5. Remove a plait of wires over the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
6. Remove the hydraulic modulator of system ABS and the management block.
7. Using the lever, take the unilateral valve from the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
8. Unscrew nuts and remove the vacuum amplifier of brakes upwards from a motor compartment.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation of the vacuum amplifier of brakes measure distance from the end of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier to an interfaced surface of the main brake cylinder which should make 149.5 mm.
2. If adjustment, ослабьте a counternut (2) is necessary and, turning a pusher (1), establish the demanded distance.
3. Establish the vacuum amplifier on a partition of a motor compartment, combining with a pedal pusher, and fix nuts.
4. Establish the unilateral valve in condensing ring of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
5. Establish the hydraulic modulator of system ABS and the management block.
6. Establish to the place of a plait of wires.
7. Establish the main brake cylinder.
8. Establish rubber consolidation on the top part of a partition of a motor compartment.
9. Connect a pedal of a brake to a pusher.
10. Establish furnish of the bottom part of the panel of devices.
