5.1.12. A fuel tank

THE GENERAL DATA

The prevention
At work with a fuel tank do not use open fire or tools, at work with which there can be a spark.
At removal of a fuel tank fuel level in it should be minimum.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove pressure in fuel system and remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.

2. Remove system of release of the fulfilled gases and heat resisting boards.

3. Move a pillow of a back seat forward and raise a carpet covering over the fuel pump.

4. Using an edge of a thin screw-driver as the lever, remove a plastic cover for access to the fuel pump.

5. Disconnect an electric socket from the fuel pump and paste its sticky tape to a body that it has not fallen for a fuel tank.

6. Open a folding shutter fuel filler mouths and remove a rubber cover from a jellied mouth.

7. Unscrew a fastening bolt fuel filler mouths to a body (it is specified by an arrow).

8. Remove the right back wheel, unscrew screws, remove скобы fastenings and protection of an arch of a wheel.

9. Put identification labels on the small hoses fixed in the top part fuel filler of a mouth. Release collars and remove both hoses.

10. Loosen the collars also disconnect the main hoses from the basis fuel filler mouths. Unscrew the bottom bolt of fastening fuel filler mouths and remove it.

11. Track hoses of giving and fuel return to a fuel tank before their connections before a fuel tank (are specified by arrows). Put identification labels, ослабьте collars and separate hoses.

12. Remove a belt, крепящий the fuel filter to a fuel tank

13. Supporting a fuel tank from below, unscrew bolts (the bolt is specified by an arrow), fastening two belts of fastening of a fuel tank.

14. Slowly lower a fuel tank, disconnect from it the remained tubes and take a tank from under the car.

15. Visually check up a condition of a fuel tank outside. Unscrew a ring and uncover the fuel pump and examine a fuel tank from within. If in a tank there are pollution or deposits, wash up its pure water or gasoline.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal taking into account following moments:

– At installation of a fuel tank in the car check up, that any of hoses has not been pressed;
– Check up, that all pipes and hoses have been correctly connected and reliably fixed by collars;
– Fill in in a fuel tank a small amount of fuel and check up fuel system on tightness.
