After engine start before inclusion of one of steps to press a pedal of a foot brake. Otherwise the car will start to "creep". Never to press simultaneously pedals of an accelerator and a foot brake.
Having chosen a control lever step D, you have switched a transmission to an economic mode of movement. It is possible to go by step D practically always.
By soft pressing an accelerator pedal there is an early switching on transfers to the economical expense of fuel. Manual switching of steps is necessary only in exceptional cases. To choose 3, 2 and 1 follows only when it is necessary to avoid switching on higher transfer or additional braking by means of the engine is required.
As soon as the road situation, again to choose D allows.
Positions of a control lever by automatic transmission Р, R and N
Р = a parking. Forward wheels are blocked. Transfer only at the motionless car and the included manual lay brake.
R = a backing. To include only at the motionless car.
N = neutral position or idling.
The control lever an automatic transmission can be deduced from position Р only at the included ignition and the pressed pedal of a foot brake.
The engine can be started only in position Р or N. At start in position N to press a pedal of a foot brake or to include a manual lay brake.
During switching of steps not to press an accelerator pedal.
D = constant position for normal traffic conditions on transfers with 1 on 4.
After start of the engine and inclusion D the transmission always works in a mode of economic driving.
3 = position for traffic conditions on transfers 1, 2 and 3.
2 = position for movement on 1st and 2nd transfers, e.g., on a mountain streamer; thus there is no switching on 3rd and 4th transfers.
1 = a step of loading for the maximum brake effort, e.g., on abrupt descents; there is no switching above 1st transfer.
Modes of driving with electronic control
The sports mode of driving, box switches transfers at higher frequencies of rotation of a shaft of the engine:
The economic mode, box switches transfers at lower frequencies of rotation of a shaft of the engine: to press button S repeatedly.

Besides, deenergizing by a way is possible:
– A manual choice of steps 2 or 1;
Kickdown – sharp pressing against the stop on an accelerator pedal
Pressing of a pedal of an accelerator against the stop: at speed below certain value the box is switched to lower transfer. It is applied to acceleration with use of a total power of the engine.
Additional braking by the engine
For use of brake functions of the engine at descent in due time to include 3, 2 or if that is demanded by a situation, 1.
Especially effectively brake action at a step 1. If it is included at too high speed 1 the box will continue to work on 2nd transfer until the point of transition to 1st transfer at the expense of braking will be reached.
The included step at a stop with working engine can be kept.
At a stop on slopes it is obligatory to involve a manual lay brake or to press a pedal of a foot brake. For prevention of an overheat of a transmission it is not necessary to keep on the included transfer the car on a place by increase of frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine.
At long parking, for example, in jams or on a railway crossing to stop the engine.
Before an exit from the car at first to include a manual lay brake, then to switch on Р and to take out the ignition key.
The ignition key is taken from the ignition lock only at installation of a control lever by a transmission in River position
To shake got stuck in sand, a dirt, snow or in a ditch the car for its further advancement, it is possible to switch at slightly pressed pedal of an accelerator a control lever between D and R. To hold frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine as it is possible more low and to avoid sharp pressing an accelerator pedal.
The way described above to apply only in exceptional cases.
For exact maneuvering, for example, at car installation on parking, arrival in garage, etc., it is possible to take advantage in the way "crawling" by holiday of a pedal of a foot brake.
Not to press at all simultaneously a pedal of an accelerator and a foot brake.
The signalling device
In case of equipment of the car by the Multi-lnfo-display, on the display the message on malfunction „Automatik Getriebe" ("the Automatic transmission") is deduced.
The transmission is not switched any more automatically.

Electrical supply infringement
