Removal by a wire brush of a rust and dirt from a tip of steering draught

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports. Remove a corresponding wheel.

2. Fix steering draught and unscrew a counternut of steering draught on a turn quarter. Do not move a counternut from this position as it will serve as a reference point at installation of a new tip of steering draught.

3. Unscrew a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught.

4. Using a stripper, take the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught from a rotary fist.

5. Unscrew a tip of steering draught from steering draught, having counted exact number of turns of a tip of steering draught. The right tip of steering draught is designated by letter R and has the right carving, and the left tip is designated by letter L and has the left carving.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Screw up a tip of steering draught in steering draught on the same number of turns, as at removal. Thus the counternut of a tip of steering draught should be established on a quarter of a turn from steering draught.

2. Establish the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught in a rotary fist and fix a nut.

3. Tighten a counternut of fastening of a tip of steering draught.

4. Establish a wheel and lower the car.

5. Check up corners of installation of forward wheels.
